Kendrick Lamar Is Not Looking To Keep Industry Friends

Kendrick Lamar said he is “usually cool with the same n*ggas I’m rhyming with”, but he also said, “this is Hip Hop and them n*ggas should know what time it is.”

Recently, during an interview for GQ’s Man of the Year issue, Kendrick lets readers know that he is not looking for new friends in Hip Hop.

In the interview, Lamar spoke on the him and Drake meeting at the MTV VMAs, a week after his “Control” verse was released and gave an update on their friendship saying, "[We're] Pretty cool. I mean, I would be okay if we weren’t."

Lamar also said that “we all peers” after admitting that Drake informed him that he took the “Control” verse as a diss.

Recently, Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, mAAd city album recently won Album of the Year at Friday’s (November 8th) Soul Train Music Awards.’
