Robert L Cherry Jr (born May 12, 1986), better known as Villaboy Jay.Byrd was born in Stuttgart, Germany. He moved around a lot being a military kid but was mainly raised in Slidell, Louisiana and also Columbia, South Carolina. He started writing at the age of 9 and since then hasn't looked back. Being a high school and college athlete he wasn't able to focus on music much. At the age of 21 he finally started to take music serious and recorded his first song. His first love is football but after a major injury in 2009 he then turned 100% to music.
Villaboy Jaybyrd In August 2012 he released his first Mixtape. In November 2012 he took a major step and started his own entertainment business (Villaboy Ent Llc) . Since then, in January 2013 he released his first single "BASS". He has recorded two videos and is now preparing to release the video for his single. He has finished two Hip Hop albums which haven't been released yet and is currently writing a R&B album that is set to be released May 2013. He will be releasing his first album "Motivate The Motivators" (MTM) on November 2013 which is driven from his lifetime obstacles and also the passing of his mother. He has big plans for this upcoming year and more for the years to come. Stay tuned.
