Kanye West casually announced his inaugural philosophy book Break the Simulation in a recent interview, describing one of its core concepts as being centered on humans' "obsession" with photographs. Now, many highly retweetable tweets later, West has clarified that he's actually penning the book in real time to avoid publishers and/or publicists trying to fuck up the vision. The clarification arrived Wednesday after West delivered some early morning wisdom on the importance of rejecting distraction, something he's been talking a lot about in recent days. When we first wake up to face another day of whateverism, West recommended, we should hold off on leaping into our iPhones and instead savor the cinematic nature of our own imaginations.
