Meet Luchey ThA Great, an artist hailing from the east side Of Harlem. This pint sized young man packs a punch and should be considered one of the more powerful artists on the rise out of New York city. He got his start when he took action by calling one of the phone numbers on the back of a Max B cd he purchased a few years ago. He was introduced to DJ Lazy K of the “Murder Mamis” Dj crew as a result of the conversation that took place during the phone call he placed to the number on the back of the Cd.

He was fortunate enough to enter a production situation with DJ Lazy K under her imprint because of his distinct flow, humble personality and his unbelievable ability to create hip hop choruses easily. This situation produced his timely classic first mixtape titled “Harlem: Luchey The Great Volume 1″ In 2006 which sold roughly over 20,000 copies independently. In 2007 his career took another turn when he crossed paths with Jean Muller which he meet through a friend who was a talent scout at the record label we now know as EMI (then Sony records) and inked a record deal, but the road would fork for Luchey as Jean was murdered at a talent show in Nyc. Luchey was then forced to once again retract and re-evaluate his situation and while doing such he won an internet contest held by Atlanta’s own Recording artist Souljaboy Tellem. After the contest’s results were anounced, the winner (Luchey) met the S.O.D.M.G founder at a secret location in New York City and began spending time with him recording.

No aggreement was made verbally nor in contract and although they keep in touch, years later far removed from all of his situations, he has gone ahead forcefully and has a strong base of supporters and fans from all walks of life to booking sold out venues. Luchey is a special young man proving himself to be great recording and collaborating with some of hip hop’s elite, and likewise he should be because he is of the elite sort. Luchey with his humble deamenor and positive outlook on life reflects on his past, present and future through his music all the way while paving a way for himself, providing for his child, and bringing back a much needed appreciation for the “Trap” hip hop genre successfully. His lifestyle speaks to us in vision and his solid street credibility helps him take listeners on a ride through the trap in a verbal candy painted impala.
