Beginning at the age of 13, Montana Da Mac now known as just "Tana" urbanized a passion for making music. As a child he and his friends became popularly known as "The Get Rich Clique," spread out among different schools across Atlanta. He became to be an all around people person and learned to adapt to different situations that life threw at him. He says one of the best things that came out of it was meeting new people. There is more to Tana aside from being "Piped up," as he likes to say. Although, he lives by the "I can sleep when I die," motto he is sure to put a smile on your face with his humorous side, revealing that he loves the position in life that God has governed.
Bravely taking on the blend of Rap and Rock, he had took action with something that had not then been so successful since Run DMC and Aerosmith on "Rock this Way." Tana makes the "Live Life Music" as he would say, a true entertainer creating his own new genre that he calls, "Piped Up." One of his many goals as a performer is wanting people to love his music, "I want them to know that is my stylo!" The greatest experience he has had since the start of his career was when the St. Louisville Mall was shut down on account of his presence.
With his musical inspiration coming from idols such as Tupac, Andre 3000, T.I., and Lil Boosie. Tana said that if he could have his dream collaboration he would love to have had the opportunity to record with Michael Jackson and Tupac together because, "They were the best to ever do it," he says. With great influence on his life, they and others helped develop his fun-loving personality, "I don't sugarcoat who I am," and I am showing no love to the negativity from the critics, "I don't care cause I don't have nothing to hide!"
Tana is stilled signed to E1/Koch and his own independent label, STR8 CASH NO CHANGE MUZIK.. After meeting Tana, I can tell that "Da Mac" isn't stopping any time soon. The music world is in for a catastrophic awakening because he plans to be one of THE guaranteed artists to make it and to bring the life to the party. Tana is now currently traveling, promoting his new single "My Old Cut" from his upcoming mix tape " S#it DOne Got Real" that is set to be released Fall/Winter of 2012.
