Donning an image not usually associated with hip-hop, Grammy Award-Winning featured artist Whitney Peyton is a young rapper with a firecracker personality from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Beginning close to home, W.P.’s continuous drive gained her several nominations (and wins) at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards (PA) for categories including “Best New Artist”, “Best Lyricist”, “Best Live Performer”, “Best Female Solo Artist” and “Best Hip Hop Performer” in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Equipped with catchy hooks, relatable rap verses, and a growing fan base, she became the top voted unsigned artist in her home state on MTV2’s “On The Rise” contest and has been interviewed and played on numerous independent and college radio stations. With no label or management, the emcee has also landed various TV spots and swept the pages of multiple magazines and newspapers nationally. Even VH1 caught notice of her distinctive style, and personally invited W.P. to attend the 2009 Hip Hop Honors, held in Brooklyn, NY.

With an undeniable stage presence, W.P. has performed with well-known acts including Jadakiss, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Sheek Louch, Hopsin, Shop Boyz (“Party Like a Rock Star”), MIMS, Tech N9ne, DEV (“Like a G6”), Paul Wall, Vanilla Ice, DMX, and many more! In the summer of 2009 Whitney Peyton teamed up with popular retail chain Hot Topic, and headlined her own mall tour playing in-store performances at over fourteen Hot Topic locations in four states where her T-shirts and other merchandise were being sold. After the well-received promotional tour came to a close Whitney wasted no time getting back on the road, this time with Platinum artist MIMS (“This is why Im hot”) as his opening act for multiple locations in Ohio and Michigan. She has collaborated on songs with (Bizarre of D12), Cassidy, Gangsta Boo (formerly of Three 6 Mafia), Liquid Assassin (formerly of Strange Music), MIMS, Daddy X and Dirtball (of Kottonmouth Kings), Layzie Bone (of Bone Thugs N Harmony), and Spectacular (of Pretty Ricky).

In 2010, Whitney was chosen to be one of the faces of Philadelphia’s “Unlitter Us” Campaign. TV spots for the campaign aired city-wide (and in surrounding areas) through 2011 on stations such as MTV, BET, Vh1, Comedy Central, ABC, and NBC. Whitney was featured using her rap ability in a spoken word poem she wrote about cleaning up the city streets. She also appeared in print and transportation ads, and was seen alongside Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter at anti-litter rallies, and community events.

Further proving her versatility as an artist, W.P. took part in writing and recording on an Anti-Bullying album geared toward Children in late 2011. The album gained immediate recognition winning a Grammy Award for “Best Children’s Album” at the 54th annual Grammy Awards in 2012 as well as a Nappa Honors Award, and Parent’s Choice Gold Award from the Parent’s Choice Foundation. In late 2012 the now “Grammy Award Winning Featured Artist” partnered up with music’s newest social networking site YourVibe.com as their official face and spokesperson. Heavy hitting publications like Rolling Stone Magazine interviewed YourVibe.com representatives and Whitney Peyton in a 4-page spread that is set to be in their March 2013 issue. The fast-moving MC is teaming up with established producers nation-wide to finish a solo album for 2013 ensuring her accomplishments continue to grow as fast as her following.
