The actor who portrayed rap mogul Suge Knight in the movie “Straight Outta Compton” was arrested Monday at a Sunny Isles Beach resort after police said he beat up a security guard.
According to The Miami Herald, Richard Marcus Taylor, 40, was charged with misdemeanor battery and is being held at a Miami-Dade jail after he beat down a uniformed security officer at the Marenas Beach Resort, 18683 Collins Ave.
The melee started when the guard asked Taylor to take his foot off a table in the lobby, police said. Taylor refused and told the guard “to leave him alone,” according to an arrest report. The guard walked to the front desk to ask staffers to call the police.
Moments later, Taylor walked over and pushed him to the ground, as the guard waited at the front desk, and a full battle royale fight broke out. By the time police arrived they saw Taylor “pick the victim up and slam him to the ground” according to the report.
