According to HipHopWired, warrants were issued for the arrest of Blac Youngsta and two other men for their involvement. Blac Youngsta’s press rep told XXL, “Memphis-based rap artist Blac Youngsta has turned himself in on charges filed in Charlotte, N.C. The warrants served were based on lyrics from rapper Young Dolph’s Bulletproof mixtape. Youngsta will await arraignment while he maintains innocence and no involvement with the incident.”

Blac Youngsta's lawyer sustains his innocence by saying that his client rented a van that was then stolen and used to execute the drive-by shooting.
