DJ Khaled Hopes To Replace Of L.A. Reid

Recently, L.A. Reid stepped down from his seat as Chairman of Epic Records after allegations of a sexual harassment claim, and his allegedly expensive disregard for recording and marketing budgets came to light.

But, that doesn't stop DJ Khaled from now chasing the position as Chairman. A source in the music industry claims Khaled made a convincing play for the spot after L.A. Reid left.

“He was petitioning to get that job. He’s like, ‘I make more happen than anyone in the game, why would I not be considered to run the label?’,” an alleged “industry insider” told Page Six.

Seems that DJ Khaled plans to follow in the footstep of the same executive that was responsible for signing him, Future, Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, 21 Savage and more to the Epic Records.
