NYPD Shut Down Sneakerheads Camping Out For The Nike SB Dunk Low “Black Pigeon” by Complex News

It looks like the NYPD is trying to stay on top of this Staple x Nike SB "Black Pigeon" release before it gets too out of hand, as they have already shut down the line that formed at Extra Butter ahead of tomorrow's exclusive pop-up release. A video posted to Extra Butter's Instagram account shows a handful of NYPD cops patrolling the area of Orchard Street where the boutique is located as the the Cops' theme song "Bad Boys" hilariously rings out in the background. Despite the line being shut down, Extra Butter's caption on their post reads, "There are lines forming all over the [Lower East Side]," meaning guaranteed debauchery is likely to ensue regardless. Obviously, this brings back memories of the 2005 riot the original "Pigeon" Dunks caused, and this release looks like it has the potential to cause just as much hysteria 12 years after the first riot occurred. Extra Butter stated that they will keep their social media updated regarding new release procedures, but for the time being the Staple x Nike SB Dunk Low "Black Pigeon" and its accompanying capsule of apparel are scheduled to drop at Extra Butter's pop-up location on Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. Subscribe to Complex News for More: http://goo.gl/PJeLOl Watch 'Complex Live' on Go90 here: https://www.go90.com/shows/11cHKK3D2iU Check out more of Complex here: http://www.complex.com https://twitter.com/Complex https://www.facebook.com/complex https://www.instagram.com/complex/ https://plus.google.com/+complex/ COMPLEX is a community of creators and curators, armed with the Internet, committed to surfacing and sharing the voices and conversations that define our new America.
