How a Hacker Tried to Fool Frank Ocean Fans About New Music by Complex News

An unofficial Frank Ocean Facebook page published a post on Monday evening promising that it would leak new music from the artist, according to Pitchfork. The post and page (@FrankOceanPage) have since been deleted. The page’s verified status confused fans, causing people to assume that Frank Ocean’s official page had been hacked. In reality, Frank’s actual page @FrankOcean is currently inactive. Frank’s mother Katonya Breaux cleared up the confusion by tweeting that Frank “doesn’t have an official Facebook page. Or any Facebook page. Hack on.” Check out the Complex Cover here: http://www.complex.com/music/quality-control-music-interview-2018-cover-story Subscribe to Complex News for More: http://goo.gl/PJeLOl Watch 'Complex Live' on Go90 here: https://www.go90.com/shows/11cHKK3D2iU Check out more of Complex here: http://www.complex.com https://twitter.com/Complex https://www.facebook.com/complex https://www.instagram.com/complex/ https://plus.google.com/+complex/ COMPLEX is a community of creators and curators, armed with the Internet, committed to surfacing and sharing the voices and conversations that define our new America.
