Rampage' Release Date Moves Up a Week Because of 'Avengers: Infinity War' by Complex News

You can now see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson fight mutant monsters in Rampage a week earlier, and it's all because of Avengers: Infinity War. Warner Bros. moved up Johnson's video game adaptation from April 20 to April 13 to give the anticipated Marvel film some wiggle room, Deadline reports. Earlier this month, Disney and Marvel announced they will bump Infinity War a week up from May 4 to April 27 in a brilliant marketing move. Iron Man (a.k.a. Robert Downey Jr.) tweeted at Marvel asking if he can see the movie earlier. They happily granted the request of "Mr. Stark" and tweeted the new date. Clearly, Marvel has these film studios shook—and rightfully so. Black Panther is still crushing the box office and is set to gross $1 billion worldwide any day now, recently raking in $501 million in North America and $897 million worldwide. It earned the title of the biggest non-sequel and non-ensemble superhero film of all time, surpassing 2016's Deadpool, 2017's Wonder Woman, and 2002's Spider-Man. This all makes the lead-up to Infinity War all the more exciting.
