Jay Z Hit With Lawsuit Over 'Reasonable Doubt' by Complex News

Jay Z is being sued over a Reasonable Doubt royalty dispute. Wednesday, TMZ dropped a report about the legal proceedings of Raynard Herbert, who claims that he assisted in the mastering of the album in 1995. Herbert, allegedly in exchange for 1 percent of profits, also claims to have arranged the album's distribution agreement. Royalty payments are alleged to have been made between 1998 and 2008, at which point Herbert claimed he stopped receiving checks. His 2010 attempt at reaching out about the alleged missed payments, he added, proved unsuccessful.
