Lil Ak/DJ Akademiks "Clout Chaser" EP Album Review

What in the Weird Al Yankovic is this? DJ Akademiks rise from small-time youtuber to one of the go to media personalities for everything 'Lil' in hip-hop is nothing short of amazing. In 6 short years, he has managed to catupult himself from a DJ doing house parties to a true media network. Now, he seems to be working on the music side.

DJ Akademiks colorful-6ix9ine-style-dreads alter ego Lil Ak has dropped a 4 Track EP catered directly to fans of the mumble rap genre. With his rap style that sounds like a mix between Future & Kodak Black, he's created what he calls "satire" rap songs that seem to poke fun at the forementioned rappers and their genre, but also seems like he is trying his hardest to break into the music industry himself.

In his tracks, he talks about everything from how he "Used To Skrrt The Civic" on the track "Super Lit" to bragging on how he bought a "New Mercedes, Bought A New Mercedes" on the track "Chug Lug". He even went the extra mile to write a song about his well known YouTube break up on the song "Celina" where he shame his ex by saying "You been fucking on some niggas on some lame shit/ How I'ma kiss you in the mouth you sucked some lames with?".

What really carries the EP is the production from CashMoneyAP, Bandit Luce & Two4Flex two of which who also received ghostwriting credits as well.
