Even though the original album, The Marshall Mathers LP, influenced us as a whole to go out and purchase a few copies (1.7 million to be exact) in its first week release, we expect The Marshall Mathers LP 2 to be a continuation to what was hear then! But, Eminem sat down in an interview with The Rolling Stones magazine and let them know that this one will be totally different.
In the upcoming interview, 'Marshall Mathers' opens up about his high expectations that he has put on the album and says that he never worked so hard in his life. Here is what he said:
"Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectation. I wouldn’t want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs – and just when you think you got it, you listen and you’re like, ‘Fuck, man! I feel like it needs this or that,’ to paint the whole picture."
He goes on to clear up that the album will be more of a homage to the first, not just a continuation by saying:
"So there’s not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it’s more about the vibe, and it’s more about the nostalgia."

Mic Hustlers, are you ready for the new album?
