'Black Panther' Earns Disney's More Than $1 Billion Internationally in 2018 by Complex News

If a day goes by and you haven't seen a headline about Black Panther making a shitload of money, is it even a day worth living? The answer is no, but thankfully, the Ryan Coogler blockbuster is out here securing an insane amount of bags nearly every single day. We already knew that the Marvel movie had surpassed the $1 billion mark at the box office, but Deadline reports today that there’s a little more to the story than just that. Black Panther was responsible for tipping the Walt Disney Studio international box office earnings beyond the $1 billion dollar mark for 2018 (and it’s only March!) Additionally, Black Panther has become only the 14th movie ever to cross $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office. That comes out to a $590.4 million international payday and a respectable $612.1 million domestic box office. The domestic box office is expected to remain in the lead, but the gap between the two should close a little bit more in the next coming weeks.
